Jacob Beam Update
Wednesday, August 11, 2010 • Posted August 11, 2010

Jacob Beam and Taylor Slocum were both involved in a fall from a scaffold while painting last week. Slocum was uninjured; but, Beam broke his femur and sustained head trauma.

Jacob was airlifted to University Hospital in San Antonio where pins were put into his leg, and the staff worked to assure his head injuries were not life-threatening.

Jacob is now alert and moving about, within reason, considering he is in a body cast. Those wishing to send greetings may do so by contacting him at:

There will be a benefit for Jacob on Friday the 13th at 6 p.m. It will be hosted at the Mason City Park's slab with a BBQ starting at 6 and a dance with a live band starting at 9p.m. The BBQ plates will be by donation. Hope to see everyone there!
