Being a Queen’s Court member is a great honor, as well as a great responsibility; a responsibility that all five Queen’s Court members are taking very seriously. The float, titled - "Mason County Chamber of Commerce Celebrates a Texas Tennis Legacy" - is finished, thanks to the hard work and generosity of the Queen’s Court members, their parents, Wendy Hudson, Roy Lehmberg, Paul Smith, MTA and Lisa Polk. A special thanks goes out to Amelia Banner, and her family, for allowing us to work on the float under their wonderful shade trees.

Our parade tour officially began last weekend in Junction, with the float taking the ultimate honor of Grand Champion! We will travel to Johnson City this coming Saturday, then head to Fredericksburg on August 27th and wrap-up our tour in Boerne and Harper on September 4th. The Court will then take a break for a couple of weeks and begin again during the Christmas holiday season.

Help us to travel around the hill country and represent Mason County by attending our BBQ sandwich fundraiser on Sunday, August 22nd. Please come and enjoy a chopped BBQ sandwich, chips and drink for a $5 donation under the oak trees on the courthouse lawn from 11am-2pm, or take your lunch to go. Also, pick up a great dessert at our donation only bake sale!

The opportunity to be a member of the Queen’s Court is considered a privilege and an honor to each of these wonderful young ladies: Star Longoria – Queen and her Duchesses — Claudia Canfield, Kayli Bertrang, Mari Ana Marquez and Myles Banner. We are very proud of you and appreciate the time and philosophical commitment you have made to this program. Thank you for representing Mason County!
