Admission to Hardin-Simmons University is competitive. The Princeton Review has named HSU as a "Best in the West" university in its "2011 Best Colleges: Region by Region." HSU is one of 120 colleges and universities to receive this distinction.
U.S. News and World Report has reported that HSU is one of nine private universities in the nation offering a tuition guarantee program. HSU is also named among the Colleges of Distinction and is on the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.
