Mason is "The" Destination For A "Delicious" Weekend

Yes, Red Delicious, McIntosh, and Melrose apples are in season. They will be available at the Mason County Apple Fest, along with "delicious" events to choose from.

The second annual Mason County Apple Fest will be held at the courthouse lawn in the center of historic Downtown Square in Mason, Texas on Saturday September 4th from 10am to 4pm.

The Mason County Apple Fest will feature an apple baking contest (last year 4 of the 7 winners were form outside Mason County), a fresh apple cider demonstration, food smoked with applewood, frozen apple cider slushies, and an Apple Blossom style show. There will be live music all day long, quality arts and crafts vendors, and Kids Kountry-Just For Fun (a free event), all with a theme of "everything apples".

Judging for the Apple Baking Contest (10:00am) with auction at (1:00pm). There will be puppet shows at (11:00am and 1:30pm). The Miss Apple Blossom Style Show (2:30pm).

This is a family event with a focus on children. Proceeds from the Mason County Apple Fest will benefit Mason County Schools.
