Wednesday, September 1, 2010 • Posted September 1, 2010

Apple Fest 2010 is upon us. This Saturday, 4 September, Apple Fest revelers will be descending on the Mason County Court house lawn. Families are expected from all over Texas! Last year as many as 3000 people spent the day in and around Mason to enjoy all that Apple Fest and Mason country have to offer. This year’s event will feature Kids Kountry-Just For Fun, vendors from all over, food, music, the Topaz Treasure Hunt and much more. Not sure where to start your day? Stop by the headquarters booth, on the court house lawn, for a list of all activities.

The Mason County Apple Fest isn’t just for fun. The concept of the Apple fest is to take advantage of the upcoming apple harvest to bring Mason and surrounding counties together in celebrations of community. What better way to visit with your neighbor than bobbing for apples! All apples are donated by Mason’s own Sonlight Apple Orchard. The Mason County Apple Fest is a nonprofit event. All proceeds are donated to Mason county public school programs, and to Mason private schools.

So come on out. Bring your best apple pie or other apple dessert for the Apple Baking Contest. If baking isn’t your style but you want to be a part of this great fundraiser it’s not too late to get space for your very own booth. Vendor booth costs and rules can be found by calling Adotia Rode at 325-347-2951 or by visiting our website masoncountyapplefest.org. Looking for a rewarding volunteer experience? New volunteers are always welcomed! Contact Crystal Kothmann at325-347-1808 or masoncountyapplefest@live.com for volunteer opportunities. If a leisurely day out to enjoy the hill country is more your style, feel free to just stop on by to say hello, bid on the winners of the Apple Baking Contest, play a game or two at Kids Kountry-Just For Fun or enjoy some good wholesome music.

The Mason County Apple Fest Is being held on the Mason County Court House lawn, right in the center of the historic City of Mason. While you are here stop by some of our unique shops and restaurants. Try the Mason County Chamber of Commerce first. They will help direct you toward everything The City Mason and Mason County has to offer. It’s on the square, north of the court house.

Apple Fest is here for YOU. So please stop by and help us raise funds for our children.
