On Saturday evening, September 11 at 7:30 pm the Fredericksburg Chorale will be presenting a Dialogues and Dances concert in the fellowship hall of Zion Lutheran Church, 426 W. Main. These concerts are held on the second Saturdays of each month. The concerts are dedicated to the performance of new works in music as well as past works for the purpose of communicating edifying and refreshing ideas. The reading of new poetry is also a regular feature of these concerts.
This concert will feature works on violin, piano and guitar as well as vocal music and poetry. Mark Hierholzer, director of the Fredericksburg Chorale will be performing on the piano and the guitar, and his students and members of the chorale will also be performing. Ann Scarth will sing "Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring" by Johann Sebastian Bach and Christopher and Elizabeth Walton will be playing the Slovanic Dance in G minor by Antonin Dvorak for duet piano. Elizabeth Walton will also play a set of variations from Bach’s Goldberg Variations. Selected poets will read new works.
