The Mason Lions Club met Tuesday, September 7th, for its monthly business meeting. There were 34 members and no visitors in attendance.

"Boss Lion" John Gammill was responsible for the program and Sec./Tres. Gene Gammill read the minutes and gave the financial report. The report on the Hamburger Lunch was that this was the best one ever. The Lions Club wants to thank everyone that came to eat with us and those that made a generous donation.

There being no other business, the meeting adjourned.

The club's next meeting will be Tuesday, September 14th, at noon at Zavala's. The program chairman will be Mike Cope.

The Mason Lions has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also, please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
