Mason Mayor Brent Hinkley will be special guest speaker at the first Bluebonnet Study Club meeting after the summer hiatus and will discuss recent developments in the area including the water osmosis system. The meeting will be held at the home of Edna Earle Benton, 311 Austin, at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 20.

Visitors are welcome to attend and are encouraged to join this active and enthusiastic group of club members. The club is a member of the Alamo District of Texas Federation of Women’s Clubs which is a part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, an international service organization. Programs and activities of the club are structured to enhance the lives of members and serve the community at large.

The scholarship program of this group has helped numerous Mason young people to attain a higher education; the ongoing efforts to aid the local shelter for victims of domestic violence have helped those suffering this indignity to make new lives for themselves and their families; and the many educational programs have helped members to maintain healthy lifestyles and to strengthen home lives.

The club members also have fun! Anyone interested in joining these activities is welcome to come to the meeting and seek membership.
