Transmission Line Tidbits

The PUC denied the Motion to Dismiss that would have hopefully taken the P-Line Transmission Line off the table. The decision was a surprise to a lot of people in Austin whom were supposed to be in the know. Barry Smitherman says that a power line will be built across the Hill Country.

Lawyers are furiously getting direct testimony of landowners and expert witnesses to meet the September 28, 2010, deadline. Landowners, if you haven’t filed your discovery questions and have somehow gone unnoticed, contact Lee McMillan at 347-6683 immediately.

The Hickory Underground Water District Board of Directors passed a resolution supporting our position that the LCRA provide a rigorous and complete environmental impact study on the Llano uplift prior to any consideration of building the line. The study has not been completed at this time.
