Gerry Gamel Gives Outstanding Program on Photojournalism
Wednesday, September 29, 2010 • Posted September 29, 2010

The Fine Arts Association met at the Eckert Civic Center in Mason on Friday, September 24th, to hear a very educational and interesting program given by Gerry Gamel on tips for great photojournalism. The speaker was introduced by Judy Uherek who shared with members some background information regarding Gerry’s education and fields of employment following graduation from the University of Texas.

When Gerry returned to his "roots" in Mason County in 1996, he used that wealth of experience and shared it with his fellow citizens. The Chamber of Commerce and the Mason County News are just two entities that have benefited from his talents. Gerry has served as Editor of the Mason paper since 1999. Following the program, lunch was served. Martha Kothmann’s desserts were a special treat on the table.

If you forgot to sign up and pay your dues of $25.00, it is not too late to join the FAAHC for a fun filled year of creative programs and field trips! The FAAHC supports all of the arts including music and theater. It is a non-profit organization and offers a scholarship to interested students in Kimbell, Mason, McCulloch and Menard Counties.
