Joe G. Ramones, Jr., was born July 22, 1929, and passed away September 28, 2010 at the age of 81. He was surrounded by his loving wife of 32 years, and his loving sister-in-laws.
Joe was born in San Antonio, Texas, where he worked and lived. When he retired, he decided to move to Mason where he lived for 19 1/2 years before buying a house in Brady. He was in the Air Force from 1946 to 1949, and the Army from 1951 to 1954.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose & Elena Ramones Sr.; and by four brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, and by his children and grandchildren: Joe Ramones III and wife Gail of Kentucky; Maggie Kramer and husband David of San Antonio; Ruben Ramones, Johnny Ramones wife Lorie of San Antonio; Lee Ramones and wife of San Antonio, Veronica Montellano of Killeen; Tino Montellano and wife Noemi of Mason; Richard Montellano and wife Julianne of Mason; Jose Marco and wife Linda of San Antonio. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Saldivar of San Antonio, brothers Carlos Ramones and Val Ramones of Tennessee. He also had 28 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, with special love for Michael Galan, Christian Montellano and Chris Galan.
A private service was held for Joe Ramones in San Antonio.
