VFW Post 8554 Celebrates VFW Day
Wednesday, October 6, 2010 • Posted October 6, 2010

The VFW Post 8554 at its regular scheduled meeting on Sept. 20 celebrated VFW day. It was a social event with wives and other guest attending. Refreshments were servered. It was a get to know each other event. The new distrist commander of district 13 Commander Daniel Hinijosa was in attendance. Daniel is new to his job and this was his first trip to our fair town. The post has had some new members join this year and we encourage any qualified veteran to come and join.

Be sure and see any VFW member for raffle tickets on rifle to be given away on the 13 th of November.

Next post meeting will be on October 18th, at 6:30 p.m. in the American legion hall behind the jail. We hope all members and future members will attend.

For information concerning VFW Post 8554, please contact Lawrence Spell, Post Commander, 429-6224.
