Khristina K. Sanchez Raises Money for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
Wednesday, October 6, 2010 • Posted October 6, 2010

This summer I was diagnosed with diabetes. At first it was hard. But I have got the hang of it. It still hurts me when I take a shot. I take 3-4 shots every day and check my blood sugar 5 times a day. I also take one pill in the morning and one at night. At school before lunch I go to the nurses office to check my blood sugar and they have been good so far. I have been invited from the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) to a Walk-A-Thon on October 31st. I'm raising money to find a cure for Juvenile Diabetes. Thanks to everyone who bought lemonade. I have already raised $250.00. My family and friends are having a bake sale to help me raise more money on October 23, in front of Short Stop.

Thank You,

Khristina L. Sanchez, 9 years old, 4th grade
