Riata Welcomes New Member

The Riata Service Organization met September 28 at the home of Florene Hoffman with Becky Griffith serving as co-hostess. A delicious salad lunch was served.

Shanda Schmidt, coordinator for the Mentoring Program in Mason Public Schools discussed guidelines for becoming a mentor.

President Pat Tucker introduced our newest member, Bobbie McMillan. Julie Gamel received her 30-year pin.

Joan Whitaker passed out new yearbooks.

Doris Courtright, civic chairperson, outlined the projects for the new year. In October, Riata will participate in "Old Yeller Days," and the Courthouse 100th birthday party.

After a short business meeting, the meeting was adjourned.
