VFW Post 8554 Planning Meeting

The VFW Post 8554 will hold the regular monthly meeting October the 18th at 6:30 p.m. at the American legion hall. This is on Post Hill street behind the jail. The plans for the Veterans day program will be finalized at this time. All members are encouraged to attend.

Membership drive going well. We have had several new members sign up. Any veteran interested in joining is invited to the regular meetings.

The raffle tickets are still available for sale. The post is raffling off a Savage .223 rifle and tickets may be purchased from any post member. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5.

Everyone is invited to attend the veterans day program on November 11th at 11:30 a.m. at the veterans memorial. Veterans honor guard will fire a salute and the Boy Scouts will assist with a color guard and the flag decommisioning. Everyone is encouraged to bring their old flags to program or give them to any member of the VFW, American legion, or the Boy Scouts. We hope to see you there.
