FAAHC Utilizes Eckert Civic Center for Creative Sessions and Programs
Wednesday, October 13, 2010 • Posted October 13, 2010

Members of the Fine Arts Association of the Hill Country met at the Eckert Civic Center at 1024 McKinley in Mason, Texas on Friday October 8th to enjoy working on personal creative projects. Citizens of Mason, McCulloch, Menard, and Kimbel counties are invited to join this nonprofit organization. Besides having monthly programs and field trips that support the arts, members meet twice a month from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Eckert Center to share ideas and work individually on their special interests.

The Eckert Civic Center has lots of room: a full kitchen, bathrooms, good lighting, plenty of tables and padded chairs. You can learn by watching others create! The next creative session is Friday, October 29th.

The program on Friday October 15th is "Photo Safari: Hunting for Artistic Inspiration". Members will meet at the Eckert Civic Center at 9 a.m. and may want to bring a lunch and drink. Weather permitting, they will be out and about the town of Mason and surrounding countryside until 3 p.m. Dorrett Townsent is the "workshop leader" for this program. Those participating will have the option to eat lunch at the Eckert Center or a place of their own choosing. A camera and/or a sketch pad, and pencils/etc. are the materials needed for this event. If you have questions, call Dana Butler 325 347 5969 or Judy Uherek 325 265 4480.
