Dear Gerry,

Concerning the In My Opinion article on 10-13-10, how right you are! It all did "change quickly" for us in Erna. The "land next door" does have a sand pit now. Your "atta boy" to the Erna Sand development, in my opinion, is undeserved.

My family and I own and live on land directly across the road, within a quarter of a mile, from this operation and we have not and will not derive anything positive from their activities. What we have received is lower property value, noise pollution, light pollution, air pollution and loss of sleep. Not to mention potential property damage from foundation rattling blasts, possible loss of water quality and/or quantity, and disruption of wildlife activity.

So much for the "quality of Life" in Erna, Texas.
