Class of 1959 Reunion
Wednesday, October 20, 2010 • Posted October 20, 2010

In the spring of 1959, John Alden Geistweidt’s parents gave the soon-to-be-graduated seniors a party at their ranch home. On September 25, 2010 John and Debbie Geistweidt hosted a reunion for the Class of 1959 at the same home.

Twenty-one of those classmates along with their spouses gathered for a day of visiting and remembering. The inevitable class meeting occurred, presided over by Bill Dannheim, our senior class president. He was asked if he had known his tenure would have lasted this long, would he have taken the job? In typical politician style, he shrugged and smiled.

One item was decided upon. The Class of 1959 plans to meet again at the same place in the spring of 2013-probably in late April. Those who had conflicts this year are asked to take note!

Those attending: Front row: Sarah Ashley Brown, Marlene Doyal Duzan, and Maribelle Sharpe Hoerster. Second row: Bonnie Garner Skaggs, Jo Ann Durst Royal, Darlene Doyal Brandenburger, Jimmie Black Schmidt, Connie Johnson McLean, and Darlene Schuessler Humphreys. Third row: Elaine Leifeste O’Neal, Sandra Schmidt O’Donnell, Darlene Leifeste McDougall, and Janet Leifeste James. Back row: Jerry Turner, Bill Dannheim. Sammy Martin, John Geistweidt, Roy Goff, Seth Comer, Don Gipson, and Reudy Loeffler.
