Fall Beef Cattle Field Day 2010
Wednesday, October 20, 2010 • Posted October 20, 2010

The Hill Country Livestock Raisers Association and the Texas AgriLife Extension Service Llano County will hold its Fall Beef Cattle Field Day on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the Llano County Community Center. The program will start at 9:00 a.m. and last until approximately 3:00 p.m. This is the first year we will hold the field day on a Saturday instead of during the week. We hope that this will allow some of the members who have not been able to attend past field days to attend this one. Please encourage your friends and neighbors to attend.

The 2010 Fall Beef Cattle Field Day will include presentations on Cattle Identification by Max Hartmann (TSCRA Special Ranger), Heifer Selection and EPD’s by Dr. John Edwards, and Cattle Vaccination by Dr. Rick Machen. There will be a live cattle branding and working demonstration. Three (3) continuing education units will be offered at the field day - 2 in general and 1 in integrated pest management.

Help support the Llano County 4-H Clubs. They will be selling hamburgers for lunch.

Educational programs of the Texas AgriLife Extension Service are open to all people without regard to race, color, sex, disability, religion, age, or national origin. If you need any special accommodations, please contact Jamie Osbourn at 325-247-5159 as soon as possible so we can consider your request.
