Mason Lions Roar

The Mason Lions Club met Tuesday, October 19th, for its regular weekly meeting. There were 35 members and 1 visitor in attendance.

Lion Nolan Donop was responsible for the program and introduced Linda Finch who spoke about her around the world flight that she made in honor of Amelia Earhart's flight. She told of the blessings she had received from this experience. She said another flight could be coming in the near future.

Lion Michael Cope received an award pin for bringing two or more new members into the club in a one year period.

A hamburger lunch is planned for November 5th, so everyone is reminded to mark their calendars.

The club's next meeting will be held Tuesday, October 26th, at noon at Zavala's. The program chairman will be Brent Drennan.

The Mason Lions has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also, please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
