Gillespie Schools Tour Features Williams Creek School

When fall arrives in the Hill Country, the air turns crisp and shades of red, orange, green and gold dapple the landscape. While in the area visit the Williams Creek (Albert) School being featured on the Country School Trail with an open house. The school is open from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. November 6, with docents that are former students and members of the community to tell the stories the late 1800’s and early 1900s, Located at 5501South Ranch Road 1623. Be sure and ask about the purchase in 1896 and use of the "School Bell". Former president Lyndon B Johnson attended this school for a time.

Williams Creek welcomes visitors and former students for a time of reminiscing the school days gone by. Remember November 6, 2010, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
