Elbert Lang, 65, of Mason died Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at the Llano Nursing and Rehab Center.

He was born April 26, 1945, in Castell. He married the former Darlene Flesher on June 10, 1978, in Cherokee.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Randy Kuykendall, a soil conservation company and was a member of the Castell Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include, his wife, Darlene Lang of Mason; four sons, D. J. Snell of Corpus Christi, Danny Snell of San Angelo, David Snell of Washington State, Donald Snell of Mason; three daughters, Catherine Lang and Laura Mires both of Brady, Samantha Smith of Austin; 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A memorial service was held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 14, 2010, at the St. Joseph’s Lutheran Church in Castell.

Cremation arrangements were under the care of Gentry Funeral Home of Mason.
