Summer is here. It is hot and dry. Let’s get serious about praying for rain. Keep your grass and garden well watered and stay in the shade and enjoy the cool breeze of the angels (see Hebrews 1:7). Pray.

This week, our happy birthday wishes go to Brian Fuqua, Vondell Jordan’s son, on June 7th and to Sterling Jordan on June 8th. And, happy anniversary wishes go to Ken and Brenda Kothmann on June 7th and to Wayne and Kathy Jordan on June 11th. Have a great celebration and a really good time on your special day.

The Art Cookbooks have arrived and are selling like hotcakes. They are $18.00 each and Maribelle Hoerster has a good supply in her truck.

It was good to see Jean Lyon’s sister and her husband, Rosemary and Don Williams, in church and celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary.

Continue to pray for the health of Carlita Jordan, Carolyn Vater and Brucene Norton. These great people need the strength and power to overcome their problems and regain their health. Prayers were also requested for Joyce Conner, Dorothy Johnson as she has surgery on her ankle, and Tina Carter as she begins treatments. Surround all of these with your love and wisdom.

The Gospel scripture for the 3rd Sunday After Pentecost was Matthew 7:21-29. These are the last verses of the Sermon on the Mount.

The world is full of chaos and turmoil and somewhat “Out of Kilter”, the title of Rev. Krause’s sermon. Life would not be good if we did not have Jesus to give us directions and guidance when we get out of kilter.

Put the words of Jesus into practice and be like the man who built his house on a rock (see verse 24). In verse 21, Jesus said: “Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he that does the will of My Father Who is in heaven.”

Our relationship with Jesus Christ makes a great difference in our lives. Choose to have that relationship with Jesus Christ. Confess that Jesus is the Lord, who died and was raised from the dead. He died to take away our sins and our sins are forgiven forever. Jesus is faithful to forgive our sins. Believe that God is the Lord.

Only those that do the will of the Father will enter into heaven. Believe in Jesus Christ and love others and Jesus will send His unconditional love. Live the journey to be with Jesus. We may stray from time to time and forget to what is required, but Jesus paid the price and forgives our mistakes.

Jesus taught as One with great authority. Believe in Him.
