The Mason Study Club enjoyed an afternoon in the Mason schools. Lunch was provided in the Home Economics room and was prepared by students of Mrs. Angie Dudney, the Mason High School Career and Technology Coordinator and Family Consumer Science teacher.

After lunch and a very interesting talk by Mrs. Dudney about the new programs included in the home economics department,, club members headed for the elementary school to help out first and second graders make Christmas tree ornaments for the large tree at the Mason County Public Library. Many of these children will be in the Study Club’s "Book Buddies" project beginning in January. This was our first time to visit with the students and we had a great time with them! On December 3, we will decorate the library tree and then take the students on a tour of the Mason County Library. Each student will receive a library card and Study Club members will give each child a book. We hope that introducing these children to our wonderful county library will give not only the students, but their parents an incentive to visit the library and check out books or just visit the library and read books there or use the computers that are available there.
