The Junior High boys hung up their football uniforms after a great season and picked up their basketball shoes a week ago. They hurried through a couple of practices then welcomed the visitors from Medina for the first game.

The Punchers jumped on Medina quickly by putting in fourteen points in the first period while playing really good defense and holding their opponent to zero points. The Punchers finished out the first half with twenty points then followed with two good second half quarters of nine and seven points respectively.

Leading rebounders for Mason were, Zane Haley, J’Angelo Martinez, and Luis Castillo. Assists were lead by, Miguel Castillo, Sam Martinez, and David Hill.

The Punchers finished out the game 36-7. Next week the Punchers will travel to Center Point for a 5:00 tip off.
