Johnnie Pekot

Johnnie Ernestine Waldon Pekot, 88, of Honey Pot, Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2010, at home, following a battle with cancer.

Born October 27, 1922, in Pontotoc, Texas, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Ethel Waldon.

She was married in Mason, Texas, at St. Joseph's Church on April 27, 1946, to the late Joseph J. Pekot, of Nanticoke, where they resided ever since.

She was a member of St. Faustina Parish, formerly St. Stanislaus Church, Nanticoke.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Isabel Polk, and a brother, Lewis Waldon, both of Pontotoc, Texas.

Surviving is her only child, Edward, and his wife, Lenora of Nanticoke.

A mass of Christian burial was held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, at St. Faustina Parish, Holy Trinity Church site, with the Rev. James Nash officiating. Interment was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

Arrangements were by the Earl W. Lohman Funeral Home, Inc., 14 W. Green St., Nanticoke, PA.
