The Mason Lions Club met Tuesday, November 23rd, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 39 members and 6 visitors in attendance.

Lion Ron Freytag was responsible for the program and he introduced Keith Kaan who spoke about building an energy efficient home and the type he helped design and build for Habitat for Humanity. Keith showed a PowerPoint presentation with charts and graphs detailing the savings that could be expected, if the house were constructed wisely. Keith answered several questions after his presentation.

The club's next meeting will be held Tuesday, November 30th, at noon at Zavala's. The program chairman will be Gene Gammill.

The Mason Lions has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also, please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
