The Fine Arts Association of the Hill Country met Friday, Nov. 19 to participate in "Collage, the Creative Process." The initial overview of the medium was covered by Robin Clark, followed by individual mini-demos by Dana Butler, Robin Clark, Dorrett Townsend, and Nan Loeffler. Participants then had the remainder of the day to follow their own creativity in producing a variety of Collage works.
The Eckert Civic Center offers a wonderful space for working like this, giving all of us ample room and table space. The resulting works represented a good variety of collage options, from handmade Christmas cards to printmaking, and using a multitude of materials... "found objects", photos, fabrics, fine papers, printing inks and paints...plus horse hair and bleached mice skulls!!!
FAAHC extends an invitation to all who are interested in the Arts. We have another two "creative sessions" scheduled before year’s end, on Fridays, Dec. 3 and 17, at the Eckert Center. Come join the fun. For membership info, contact Judy Uherek, firstname.lastname@example.org or Dana Butler, email@example.com.
