The Mason Country Opry Christmas Show will be held on Tuesday, December 21, at the Odeon Theater in downtown Mason. The show will begin at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $8.00 & will be available at the door.

The show will consist of the Mason Country Opry band members and guests performing country classics on the first half of the show and then Christmas classics on the second half of the show.

Entertainers on the Mason Country Opry Christmas Show will include Justin Trevino, Aaron Kothmann, Tommy Kent, Kelsey Behrens, Sammy Geistweidt, Benny Fred Kothmann and Shane Lively.

Justin Trevino has gained a large following across Texas. From his initial project, Trevino has released seven successful albums. His latest project is a duet album with fellow Heart of Texas Records recording artist Amber Digby. "Keeping Up Appearances" has received rave reviews from across the country. He is currently in the studio working on his latest solo album that will be released in the first quarter of 2011.

Tommy Kent has worked the Mason Country Opry show for an excess of ten years. He has made several recordings throughout his career and performs at various opry shows including the Cross Timbers Country Opry in Stephenville.

Aaron Kothmann has followed in the footsteps of his father, Benny Fred Kothmann. He has decided to pursue music on a full time basis and has released his first album. Aaron is an accomplished songwriter and has been booking various appearances for himself throughout Texas.

Kelsey Behrens, a Mason native, was part of the very popular Rounders group that performed throughout the central Texas area in the 1970’s. Sammy Geistweidt was the leader of the Wagon Aces and Southern Image Band for nearly twenty years. He plays fiddle on the Mason, Llano and Marble Falls Opry shows.

Benny Fred Kothmann was once part of the Johnny Bush Bandelero Band and has recently been performing vocals at the opry shows. Shane Lively, a native of Cherokee, plays drums for our various opry bands along with backing other entertainers including Darrell McCall and Justin Trevino on the road.

"Our annual Christmas Show is always so much fun," Opry MC Tracy Pitcox said. "It gives our band and guests a chance to share the Christmas spirit with those attending the show. We are looking forward to the performance at the Odeon Theater in Mason."
