Blue Ribbon Service Day!
Wednesday, December 15, 2010 • Posted December 15, 2010

The members of the faculty and staff at Mason High School will attend a special ceremony for the winners of the 2010 National Blue Ribbon School Award at the Texas Association of School Administrators conference in Austin on January 31

We wanted to do something to show our appreciation to the supportive community who helped make this award a reality for us. The students and staff members who will remain in Mason on that day will take part in a "Blue Ribbon Service Project." We would like to spend the day cleaning up what needs to be cleaned and sprucing up what needs to be "spruced!"

If you have ideas about how we can help make things in Mason look a little better or if any of you would like to supervise a team of volunteers, please contact school counselor Melany Canfield at 325-347-1122 ext 224 or melany.canfield@masonisd.net. We are especially interested in finding projects that would be suitable for a team of 5-10 high school students and could be completed in one school day.

We are really excited about this opportunity to give a little something back to a community we love, and we look forward to hearing from you!

st. The Mason Puncher Band has been invited to perform, as has senior student Alyssa Herrera. This will be an exciting day for us!
