Letter to the Editor:
In response to the article titled, "Corner of Grace and Faith."
First, let me start by reminding its author that the Church is where the Holy Spirit performs His function of convicting man of his sin, and it is IN the Church, that the person accepts or rejects Christ! "He" does very little outside the church.
As a pastor, my job is to Proclaim the Gospel, Guard and feed my Flock, and not to concern myself with other Flocks or their shepherds. I felt compelled to speak this once to this issue, because, as a new comer to this fine town of Mason, TX, God did not bring me here, to be a collecting pot of everyone else's wrong doing or (sins) and make them known to all! My job is to start a Hispanic work for a group of people whose trust can take years to gain, and what is shared with me as a minister of Christ, must be held in confidence! We all have a Past, and those of us who are saved have put those sins under the Blood, to be remembered NO MORE! Those who are not saved, please come to Church, and when the invitation is given, there at the altar, make things right with God. Just You. Just God.
Christ did not come to judge, but to save, not to point fingers, but to forgive: John 12:47. And for those who have climbed onto their own pedestal please read: Psalm 75:5 Speak not with a stiff neck v)7 - But God is the judge: He pulleth down one, and setteth up another. Amen.
