The Mason Lions Club met Tuesday, January 4th, for its monthly business meeting. There were 32 members and 1 visitors in attendance.

"Boss" Lion John Gammill was responsible for the program, and due to the fact that Secretary/Treasurer Gene Gammill was in the Fredericksburg Hospital, there were no minutes or financial report.

"Boss" Lion John said hsi father had a staph infection in his knee and might require surgery; but, that would be determined later. We all hope and pray Gene will be back with us soon!

The Lions' Pancake Supper is set for Tuesday, February 1st at the High School Commons area.

The club's next meeting will be held Tuesday, January 11th, at noon at Zavala's. The program chairman will be Jeff Grote.

The Mason Lions has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also, please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
