Punchers Bounce Back After Tough Loss
Wednesday, February 9, 2011 • Posted February 9, 2011

The Mason Punchers would show great fortitude in their game against Medina after a tough loss to Johnson City at home.

The Punchers would start the game with lots of energy and hustle, but despite their efforts they would trail early to Medina 12-2 after several three point attempts were made by the Bobcats.

Despite the early success by Medina the Punchers would stay true to their defensive efforts and it would begin to pay off in the second quarter as they closed in on the Bobcats at the half. Mason would connect on seven three point shots and would take the lead going into the fourth quarter.

The fourth quarter would prove how bad the Punchers wanted to win as they fought off several runs by the Bobcats to secure the victory 49-39 and force a three way tie for first in district as Johnson City, Medina, and Mason are all 2-1.

The Punchers' next game will be Friday at Johnson City and then back home against Medina on Tuesday February 15th.
