Mason get ready for a night of fun and laughter when you attend the 2011 Annual Chamber of Commerce Awards banquet featuring "Tumbleweed Smith" The event is being held at the Mason ISD cafeteria on February 24th from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.
The Mason County Chamber of Commerce is very honored and excited to "give back" as we recognize some of Mason’s finest men and women that make the quality of life that we all enjoy so much possible.
Tumbleweed Smith does a lot of public speaking and uses the recorded voices of some of his most humorous interviews in his presentations. Texas Highways Magazine said Tumbleweed has probably recorded more Texas characters than anyone else. In his 40 professional years, Tumbleweed has accumulated a collection of more than 10,000 programs, featuring the sounds and nuances of the Texas mystique, has been called the largest private collection of oral history in the US. The Texas House of Representatives has recognized Tumbleweed for creating a priceless resource of Texas folk tales, lore and wisdom.
Tickets to this event are now available at the Mason County Chamber of Commerce office, Mason National Bank and the Commercial Bank.
