Would you like to learn how to make a basic chocolate truffle? Here’s your chance: Mason ISD Community Education is sponsoring a class on Wednesday, March 2 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at Cocoa Luna (on the square at 244 Ft. McKavitt).
Just bring your love of chocolate and Carol Conlee, Cocoa Luna’s Proprietress, will provide everything else. You will have an opportunity to make your own truffles, but even if you just want to watch and learn, everyone gets a little sample to take away. If you want to make truffles in your home, you will learn what to buy and where to buy what you need. You will also learn how and why, with even the very best chocolate, a process called tempering is an important step in making your chocolate confections look professional.
For over 3000 years, chocolate has had a universal appeal. Bridget Langdale, Cocoa Luna’s Chocolate Docent, will share chocolate’s fascinating history. So, if you attend this class, you can serve beautiful handmade truffles at your next dinner party and impress the guests with your knowledge of how chocolate became our favorite, delicious, nutritious food. Come join the fun!
