The Mason Lions Club met Tuesday, March 1st, for its monthly business meeting. There were 38 members in attendance.

"Boss" Lion #2 Kirby Groves was responsible for the program, and Secretary/Treasurer Gene Gammill read the minutes and gave the financial report.

The use of computerized timers for the 5K-10K Walk/Run was discussed. This will be looked into and will cost about $600 for the event.

The Zone 6 cabinet meeting will be held in Mason on March 12th at the Willow Creek Cafe at 11:30 a.m.

The club's next meeting will be held Tuesday, March 8th, at noon at Zavala's. The program chairman will be James Kingston.

The Mason Lions has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also, please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
