Are you thinking about planting a little garden this year? Do you need a little help so you can have a super garden? Well we have just what you need: Mason ISD Community Education is hosting a workshop for establishing a spring vegetable garden. Mike Innis, who wrote "The Practical Gardener" column for 7 years for the Mason County News, is the instructor for this class. He will present strategies and tactics developed in over 40 years of vegetable gardening which have worked well for him. From soil testing to irrigation, from fertilization to proper times for harvesting your crops, Mike will cover the entire spectrum of home vegetable gardening. You will leave his class with the knowledge required to create a showplace veggie garden in your own back yard that is both productive and efficient. After this class, maybe you will even want to plant a big garden!
The class is scheduled for Thursday, March 24 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. in the Mason ISD Agricultural Barn classroom (the Ag Barn is located on the road off Avenue F that leads into the tennis courts and track field).
