Art is Alive and Well in the Hill Country
Wednesday, March 30, 2011 • Posted March 30, 2011

We are fortunate here in the Hill Country of Texas to enjoy some very fine artists in all mediums. Once a year, the Fine Arts Association of the Hill Country hosts an Art Show and Gala to allow artists from Kimble, Mason, McCulloch and Menard counties to show case and offer their works for sale to the public.

This year the Association will also have both silent and live auctions — Conlee & Conlee auctioneers— to benefit the scholarship that is awarded to one graduating senior chosen from one of the four counties. Past winners are: Christan Powers from Junction in Kimble County and last year was Eloy Rico from Mason in Mason County. Hopefully, the scholarship has helped them further their artistic endeavors.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 30th and come enjoy Art, Auctions and Live Music from 6 PM to 9 PM. Tickets are $20.00 at the door and your fee includes food and wine.

Nan Loeffler’s "Stars Over Buffalo" (pictured) will be at the show and available for sale.
