Topaz Day

Dear Gerry and the folks of Mason County,

The topaz loving public of Texas says Thank You; it was a blast. The generosity and hospitality of Mason was appreciated. Rockhounders found topaz and gem faceters shared their knowledge while acquiring more skills. We want to thank the town for feeding us, providing lodging for all the folks from all over the state, the ranches that allowed hunting for pretty rocks, and all the great shopping. Everybody had a great time.

The Texas Faceters’ Guild especially says Thanks. Texas Topaz weekend provided us with a way to share our craft with the public, as well as with each other. Many commented that the Wildlife Ranch lodge was a wonderful facility for our faceting seminar, and hope to use it again. It was agreed that Mason was a great location for our seminar, in that it is the spiritual home for us, as the source of the state gem. We took a vote, and we’ll be back next year.

Thanks again for making Texas Topaz Day a wonderful celebration,

B. Diane Eames, GG

Graduate Gemologist (GIA)
