Bluebonnet Study Club 42 Tournament Results
Wednesday, April 6, 2011 • Posted April 6, 2011

On March 31 inside the Richard Eckert Civic Center, at the ringing of the opening bell dominoes rattled and serious competition began in the Mason Bluebonnet Study Club 42 tournament. Sixteen participants played with a different partner each game to attain an individual point count. At the closing bell, the highest point count belonged to "Allstar" Anna Gillespie with second place owned by "Fearless" Kent Bruce. However, the real winners are the students of Mason who will receive scholarship funds to help with education expenses. Entry donations will all be used for the club’s scholarship program.

Refreshments were served by club members during breaks. An atmosphere of fellowship along with serious game playing seemed to be enjoyed by all participants. A few were heard to say that luck rather than pure skill decided who won each game. Club members expressed appreciation to participants for helping raise funds for scholarships.
