Mason Lions Roar

The Mason Lions Club met Tuesday, April 5th, for its monthly business meeting. There were 34 members and two visitors in attendance. "Boss" Lion John Gammill was responsible for the program and Secretary/Treasurer Gene Gammill read the minutes and gave the financial report.The timing devices for the 5K/10K Walk-Run were discussed and agreed upon. John reported that we would have the Pedia-Vision screening machine at the Health Fair April 14 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. We will be doing the free eye screenings.There being no other business, the meeting adjourned.The club's next meeting will be held Tuesday, April 12th, at noon at Zavala's. The program chairman will be Bruce Lehmberg.The Mason Lions has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also, please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care. ger/apr 13 col-lions roar
