We Asked, You Responded, We Listened!

After our recent change of printing presses required that we reformat the layout of the paper, we asked you for your input about those changes.Everyone was pleased with only one section, and after we explained the mechanical reasons for moving real estate and classified to the center of the paper, MOST people were satisfied with that change.Without fail, everyone loves the new paper stock, and the effect it has on color photos and black and white text. Photos pop, text is easier to read. A definite plus.No one liked moving the Opinion page and the Obituary pages further to the back, so we've moved them to pages 2 and 3, as you requested. The columnists are no on pages 4-7, with Milestones on page 8, just before the Real Estate. The pages following the classifieds will contain local and regional news stories, with sports being closer to the back where we have the availability for color when possible. We also got comments on the Spring Visitors' Guide. A couple of the informational articles needed editing or updating, as they contained or missed information that we were unaware of when they were included. The only way we can change those pieces is for you to contact us, and we welcome your input, as it makes for a better guide for everyone, so thanks for letting us know.We think we're close to a format for the paper that we can live with and that you will enjoy. However, do not hesitate to let us know if you have any ideas that can help us make a better product for you. Even in my grouchiest moods, I'm still receptive to good ideas!ger/apr 13 paper changes
