Lilly Joy Benefit

Kenna Squires, of Fredonia, won the Open 1D Class at the Lilly Joy Gamel Memorial Benefit Barrel Race with a time of 15.734. The Tres Rios Silver buckle was donated by Scott, Amanda and Morgan McMillan and presented by Morgan.
Maddie Lang, of Harper, won the Youth 1D Class at the Lilly Joy Gamel Memorial Benefit Barrel Race with a time of 16.061. Morgan McMillan, who organizes the Benefit each year, presents the beautiful buckle which was donated and made by Tres Rios Silver and Brett, Keylie and Pecos Tatum of Llano.
The 8 & Under Division of the Lilly Joy Gamel Memorial Benefit drew several competitors and they all did a great job. Pictured L to R are: Tori Crooks, Selah Smith, Marshall Marquart, Avery Brooks, Millie Marquart, Sterling Smith, Lexi Fox and Sassy Wilson. Prizes for this event were graciously provided by Denise Brandenberger, owner of The Mane Attraction and included a signed copy of “Charlie Horse Down by the River” a story by Jan Bierschwale. Jan grew up in Mason and now teaches 4th grade in Harper and trains horses. Pictured with the kiddos are left, Denise Brandenberger and right, Jan Bierschwale Townsend.
Winners of the Lilly Joy Gamel Memorial Benefit Team Roping are Header Reagan Bownds and Heeler Jim Bob Smith. Tres Rios Silver Buckles for this event were donated by Randy and Connie Stockbridge, Dewey Stockbridge, Travis and Leslie Becker and Aubrey Joy Becker. Connie Stockbridge presented the buckles to Jim Bob on her right and Reagan.
