Scott M. Pepper

Scott Merton Pepper was called home to heaven to celebrate his 49th birthday on April 18, 2011, after a battle with cancer.

Scott was born April 18, 1962, in Valparaiso, IN, and died peacefully in his sleep in San Angelo, TX. Scott grew up in El Paso, TX. He graduated from the University of Texas-El Paso with a BA degree in Business Management. He worked many years as a Data Marketing Manager and was employed at Oxford Inc. of Dallas, TX.

Scott is survived by his parents Merton and Julia Pepper of Mason, TX, two sisters Sonia Haub of Stillwater, OK and Sabrina Figert and her husband Dario Figert of San Angelo, TX, two brothers Brent Pepper of Mason, TX, and Steve Pepper and his wife Carolyn of Cabot, Arkansas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to Vista Care of San Angelo and his many good friends from the Dallas area who were willing to help him during his illness. Scott was always a caring and giving person who loved others. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral Services were held on Thursday, April 21, 2011, at the First Baptist Church, 325 College, Mason, TX, starting at 10:30 a.m. Interment followed in the New Gooch Cemetery. Music was provided by Darrel Watson. Serving as Pallbearers were: Dario Figert, Fred Cardenas, Brent Pepper, Steven Pepper, Isaac Pepper and Joshua Haub.

Services have been entrusted to the Arnoldo Gutierrez family and the Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North.
