Wednesday, May 4, 2011 • Posted May 4, 2011

The Mason High School FFA organization is selling the barbecue pit that students made earlier in the school year. The students exhibited this barbecue pit at the San Angelo Stock Show & were awarded a blue ribbon for their work. The pit has a 7 ft. by 3ft. grill, with a separate 3ft. by 3ft. grill for grilling on live coals. A double propane burner, a wood holding rack, & a three damper system for regulating heat are also included. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to the Mason High School Agricultural Department. Special thanks to Randy Kruse of Mason Gas Company for donating all the materials needed to build this barbecue pit. The students that were avidly involved in the making of this award winning barbecue pit are Austin Trip, Winston Trip, Briggs Jones, Austin Eckert, Dugan Stem, & Tanner Dutton.
