National Day of Prayer - May 5th
Wednesday, May 4, 2011 • Posted May 4, 2011

Dear Editor

What a day to rejoice & give thanks: for the demise of Osama bin Laden - a tribute to our military - and, in gratitude to God for His continued protection over us, as a country, from drastic terrorism as see on 911.

This week is also National Day of Prayer, a day observed across our nation, from prayers & reading of the Word at the nation's capitol, to planes flying over each & every state with prayer warriors "fervently at work," beseeching God to bring us to repentance, to turn us from our wicked ways, to humbling ourselves and seeking His face, acknowledging our trust in Him to direct our every step.

Oh, how we need to redirect our steps!

We can start by gathering at the courthouse, Thursday, May 5th - even in the midst of what I "think" we call "rain" - and humbling ourselves under His mighty hand, even if that means bending our knees.

With thankfulness for "one nation still "under God...."
