Down the Drain With Jane

In the late Eighties and early Nineties, banks were being shut down and then bought out. Seems like some banks changed their names more times than I’ve changed mine. Now, I’m going through this with my Internet server.

My server has now sold out twice. I’m no electronic guru and these changes really interrupt my system. I’ve got what they call "dial up." Which says you’ve got the crawling speed. Now, they tell me I’m going to be on SPEEDNET!!

When I first started writing my articles, I wrote them out in long hand and HAND DELIVERED. Granted gasoline prices were about .57 cents per gallon. Then I graduated to typing them and slipping them under the door of the News Office on my way to work on Monday mornings. Now, I email them! And gasoline is $3.86 per gallon. Go figure! I might have to go back to writing them out in long hand and putting them under the door again.

P.S. Convinced electronic has its price and its TAX!
