Jr. High Linksters Fared Well in Sonora

The Jr. High Golf Team traveled to Sonora last Monday and competed in the Bronco Open. The Cowgirls took first place honors over Sonora, Brady, Van Horn and Ingram with a score of 273. Competing for the Cowgirls were Katie Smith who placed first medalist for the eighth graders, Faith Ingracia placed second, Heather Shaw placed forth and Amber Hengst tied for Fifth in the seventh grade division. The Jr. High Punchers placed third with Sonora coming in first and Brady took second place. J’Angelo Martinez was first medalist for the eighth graders and Miguel Castillo tied for second. Other Puncher golfers competing were Hunter Kunc, Luis Castillo, Jacob Harris, Daniel Parker and Samuel Martinez. The Jr. High Cowgirls and Punchers will be traveling to Ingram on Wednesday to compete in their last scheduled tournament.
