Jr. High Golf Ends on Good Note
Wednesday, May 25, 2011 • Posted May 25, 2011

The Jr. High golf team ended their season in Kerrville last week. The Punchers finished in third place by one shot behind Brady’s 1 team. It always seems that you can find at least one shot out there that you gave away. I this case two shots. The Cowgirls took first place honors, twelve shots over Ingram and Brady.

Girls Results:

Mason 267

Katie Smith T1

Faith Ingracia T4

Heather Shaw T4

Amber Hengst 3

Brady 1 279

Ingram 279

Brady 2 284

Boys Results:

Brady 2 212

Brady 1 224

Mason 225

Meguil Castillo 2

Luis Castillo T10

Hunter Kunc 11

Samuel Martinez T12

Jacob Harris 17

Daniel Parker 10

Ingram 244

For the final count, the Cowgirls placed 1st at Mason, Sonora, Ingram and 2nd at San Saba. The Punchers placed 2nd at Mason and San Saba and 3rd at Ingram. In a couple of years, it looks like we have the makings of another successful high school team. Good luck guys and gals and play lots of golf this summer.
