Lamplight Designs Art Competition Reception and Winners

Mason High School art students were honored with a closing reception for the 7th Annual Lamplight Designs Art Competition on Wednesday, May 18th at the Northside Café. Family and friends were on hand to view 49 entries displaying a wide range of medium. First place winner was sophomore Clarissa Orta with her colored pencil drawing titled The Little things In Life, second place went to senior Myles Banner for her watercolor/cut paper piece titled, Portrait Of A Friend, third place was awarded to sophomore Jennifer Gonzalez for her colored pencil drawing titled Scene From Home Ec. Honorable Mention went to junior Matt Banner for his colored pencil/accordion book titled Waves. Judges for the competition were Deborah Hoffman from Lamplight Designs, Rosemary Davis and Robin Clark, both from the Fine Art Association of the Hill Country. The awards were presented by Deborah Hofmann, owner and marketing specialist for Lamplight Designs.
